After more than a decade in corporate sales and team management in the lawn and garden industry, Mike traded fertilizer and sales targets for tape measures, power tools, and beautifully installed window coverings. As a certified Hunter Douglas installer and consultant, he brings extensive client-service experience, a sharp eye for detail, and a practical, thoughtful approach to every project.
Mike is proud to work alongside his wife, Amber, as they grow the Grey Pearl brand together. After years of living with a designer’s discerning eye, he knows that “close enough” is rarely close enough. He enjoys helping clients find window-covering solutions that balance style, function, and everyday living, while making sure every detail is handled with care, from consultation through installation. Warm, approachable, and always ready to lend a hand, Mike brings a steady presence and genuine care to every client interaction. His goal is simple: make the process easy and enjoyable, help clients feel confident in their choices, and make sure the finished product looks just as good as it functions.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys golfing, spending time at the lake with Amber and their two daughters, and heading to the garage for what he continues to insist will only take an hour. A former boxer and hockey goalie, he’s no stranger to taking a hit, and these days channels most of that competitive energy into fantasy football.

As the founder and principal designer of Grey Pearl Interior Design, Amber brings more than 17 years of design experience and a trained eye for proportion, colour, material, and detail to Grey Pearl Window Coverings.
Amber built her career designing residential, commercial, and clinical spaces before launching Grey Pearl Interior Design in 2019. She is NCIDQ Certified and a professional member of PIDIM, bringing both technical expertise and a strong design perspective to every project.
With Grey Pearl Window Coverings, Amber combines her love of beautiful interiors with the practical side of finding the right window treatments for each space. From fabric, colour, and texture to privacy, light control, mounting details, and motorization, she helps clients navigate the options and choose solutions that feel considered, functional, and completely at home in the room. Working alongside her husband, Mike, a certified Hunter Douglas installer and consultant, Amber leads the design and selection side of the process while Mike makes sure every measurement and installation is just right. Together, they bring design and technical expertise under one roof, making the experience approachable and easy from the first consultation to the final install.
Outside of work, Amber can usually be found spending time with Mike and their two daughters, dreaming up her next project, or coming up with yet another idea for what Grey Pearl should do next, because apparently one business wasn’t enough.

After a fulfilling career as a hairstylist and business owner, Maxine embraced an exciting new chapter as an Administrative Assistant with Grey Pearl Interior Design. With a background in business ownership, Maxine has developed a strong foundation in organization, client relations, communication, scheduling, financial administration, and day-to-day business operations. She loves being part of a creative environment where organization, detail, and a passion for beautiful spaces come together.
Now working remotely on an island in Thailand, she feels fortunate to enjoy a lifestyle that combines meaningful work with the things she loves most. When she's not working, you’ll usually find her by the ocean soaking up the sunshine, watching the sunset, exploring her surroundings, or attending yoga and martial arts classes. Maxine believes life is about continuing to grow, embracing new opportunities, and staying connected to meaningful work which she has found at Grey Pearl Interior Design.
